2Last year I was 9 weeks in Bangladesh, and apart from Sundarban, I saw not more then about 30 foreign tourists/travellers but thousands of local tourists/daytrippers. There's nothing like an "travellers spot".

3I was going to suggest the arrivals lounge of the airport...
There are so few western tourists in the cities, it's unlike India, where you can't swing a cat without hitting another tourist.

10Well, you can meet plenty of, not tourists per say, but rather foreigners who are living and working in the desh at the many congregation centres, which primarily cater for the expat community there. Places like International club, Nordic club, Dutch club are a few, where citizens from those places, along with others go to unwind...where, you also find travellers who are passing through!
Apart from that, maybe in the gulshan/baridhara/banani vicinity, where many of the diplomatic missions are stationed, and also where most of the foreigners live. These days, there are plenty of coffee shops, where you will find travellers as well...hope it helps!

11Try North End Coffee Roasters, run by a former Starbucks manager. http://www.northendcoffee.com/
Good coffee (several other local coffee shops use their roast), and also incredible pastries (cinnamon buns, brownies, etc). You'll find lots of expats there (Americans, Koreans, Europeans), and also young upper-class locals.
Hard to find (around the corner from US Embassy, among several iron shops), but worth the trip.
