Leaving LIttle Corn for early flight
I am looking for some more recent advice...I will be in Little Corn in Feb and have the early flight (7:45) leaving Big Corn to Managua. My assumption was that they would coordinate the panga around flight times, so I could leave Little Corn on the early panga and make my flight. Some people had said this is the case, while others have said no way. I know anything can happen, but has anyone done this successfully?
It looks like the early panga leaves Little Corn at 6:30AM and takes 30-45 mins, which does not leave much time... (leaves 30-45mins to get on the flight).
Any insight appreciated! Thanks!!

Our experience was that the panga departure times were more placeholders than hard starts. Things may have tightened up since then, but it IS the Caribbean.Edited by: bollygrl

Hi there,They bumped the panga ride back to Big Island to try and coordinate better the arrival for people who have same-day flights. It still arrives terribly close to the departure time, and even though it isn't your fault, the lady at the La Costena counter still gives you the stink-eye for not arriving the "required" 18 hours before departure.
This is especially true when the panga is full and the driver walks off to go chat with someone for twenty minutes.
Of course, usually the morning panga arrives and people make their connections without a problem. BUT if you want to be safe, if you are not willing to risk those precious minutes that La Costena gives you to make your flight, well...better you spend your last night on Big Corn.
And that isn't giving anything up on your vacation...Big Corn is great! Better nightlife, bigger beaches, plenty of places to explore. Things to do in Big Corn Island
