Marrakesh - travel from the airport to the city

I've just booked 4 nights in Marrakech.

Just wonderng how easy it is to get from the airport to the city and how long should it take. I arrive around 8.30 pm local time.

Any ideas how much I would expect to pay by taxi to get to the city?

..... the Airport is quite close to the city, for me within walking distance 5 - 8km.

Taxi Drivers at the Airport have an inflated value of their services, a Petit Taxi from 50 -100Mdh., a Grand Taxi from 80 -180Mdh. depending on time of day, religious holidays, your gullibility or good haggling skills.

I certainly would lnot consider walking into the city at night! Bite the bullet and take a petit taxi, but settle on the price before you get in the cab.

They were asking 150 for a petit taxi and 200 for a grand taxi last week(wednesday night), and were quite resistant to coming down. I'd say you are doing well if you get a petit taxi for 100.
