Green seatsI will most likey be purchasing a 7 day JP Pass for March. I messed up by booking return flights in and out of Narita when I should of landed in Osaka and left via Narita. 24 hours before our flight, we may be able to still change it for a small $70 fee, which will be well worth it.
My question...using the JR pass "maybe" from Narita---Kyoto (pending on flight), and 100% from:
Is there a way to find out if green seats are available on all of them...we know the prices and times, just didnt see if green seats were offered on all these JR trains.

Green cars are available on the Narita Express and also on all Tokaido Shinkansen (Tokyo - Kyoto/Shin-Osaka)
Local commuter train with no seat reservations, no green car.
Green on Shinkansen to Nagoya, Green on Hida Wide View to Takayama. There is also usually one direct Hida Wide View if you prefer (usually around 8:31am) although it is slower.
Green if you take the Azusa Limited Express, not if you take the local trains.
Green on Shinkansen Asama
Use Hyperdia and check the drop down box to the right of the train name.
Whether a Green Pass is worth it to you is really a matter of personal preference. In general the standard seats have plenty of legroom and are comfortable.
Also, obviously don't buy your JR Pass now as it would not be valid in March. The voucher/exchange order must be exchanged for the actual JR Pass within three months of the date the exchange order was issued.
