Bus Companies in Argentina

Hi There,

Travelling to Argentina in mid February 2013.

I am looking for some help with bus companies in Argentina. Any recommendations? Would like a few to compare etc.

We are looking at travelling from BA to El Calafate. Is it correct that you need to take two buses?

Also looking at going to Mendoza and Iguazu.

Thanks in Advance

I would assume you would. Take a flight, it'll be cheaper.

BA to El Calafate? Isn't that like 2 days on a bus??? FLY!!!!

Taken from a website (and you can bet that bus will take longer than 36 hours...)

By Bus: from Buenos Aires there are many companies that link with El Calafate: Andesmar, TAC, El Pingüino, Don Otto. All these companies take you to Rio Gallegos, where there you can combine with local companies to get to El Calafate.

The trip between Buenos Aires and Rio Gallegos lasts 36 hours and from Rio Gallegos to El Calafate 4 hours. From the South of Chile, from Puerto Natales there are buses that get to El Calafate in only 5 hours
