Exchanging Money in Vilnius

Hey Guys,

Really quick question, I wanted to know where I can change euros into Lita on a Sunday within the city centre? (i.e. not at the airport).

Any information on this would be very useful for me.

Thanks

Nick

Hi....

There are change booths open 7 days a week in Vilnius. You shouldn't have any problem changing your €'s.
Hope you have a great trip.

Perhaps I'm just blind, but I found it more difficult to find commission-free money changing places in Vilnius than I did in the other Baltic capitals.

In the end, I found a good one located just near the main railway station. I can't guarantee it would be open on a Sunday, but it was definitely open on a Saturday, so it might be worth a try.

Looking at a map, I think it might have been the Citadele Bank, but I can't be sure.

I mentioned that there are booths open 7 days a week, because we arrived on a Sunday....
And they were.... Plenty of them ! !
That's all.

"...on a Sunday within the city centre? (i.e. not at the airport.)...."

Citadele bank next to the train station (and close to the bus station). Works 24/7 . Website http://www.keitykla.lt/ .

There are booths in the shopping centres (list of them is here http://www.citadele.lt/kontaktai/keityklos ), but i didn't know that they even still exist in LT until i read your posts. Normally money changing places are banks (any of banks), commissions are incomparably lower than in UK, so it's not same thing as in UK. Didn't see any booth (but didn't look for them either) - normally everybody go to the bank. Citadele is most convenient for that.
