beginners surf bali novemberHelp!
We are in Bali so the children can learn to surf...problem is we are in Kuta at the moment and while they had an excellent first lesson, there seems to be hardly any surf since then. Is there any chance it could pick up again while we are here, or is it 'over and out' til a later date? Surfing where there are rocks to fall on to is not really an option as they are fast learners but still only 13 and 14. Any there other beginner spots in Bali? Kuta is not my scene and I don't want to stay here if there is no point! Financially I'm thinking it might be better to cut out early if there isnt much surf, but it would be a shame to end our 'round the world' trip 3 weeks early. Any thoughts appreciated. By the way, if no surf, a place in Bali where we could rent a house reasonably cheaply would be great, there don't seem to be any in Kuta (except mega expensive villas). Cool. Thanks posters!

3there are some sights to check the surf forecast one is http://magicseaweed.com/Kuta-Beach-Surf-Report/566/
looks to be a little better sunday and on tuesday, I made the mistake on our last trip to rent a board for the day before checking.
If the surf is still down, there is a ton to do in bali here is a link to a few ideas: http://www.gettingstamped.com/category/south-east-asia/indonesia/
Hope it picks up for you!

4Thanks Adam L78, I will hve a look at the links. Thanks for taking the time to post. We are now in Ubud (how cliche, haha) but plan to go back to a surf beach in another week. It will be handy to be able to check the surf reports and whatnot. Cheers.
