which country to chooseWe are going at the eind of march until april 14, to south east Asia. We all ready done Vietnam and Indonesia and are know doubting between Malasya, Philipines of Sri Lanka. We are gonna stay about 18 days.
I really like Sri Lanka but I'm thining 18 days maybe too long for Sri Lanka alone?
Which country do you advice and why?
Do you have any extra information about them, cost of living and so on.
We spend about 600 euros in Vietnam and 900 in Indonesia on, hotels, food and drinks, gifts, tours, transport and so o, not including the flight for and do does countries. We stayed in Vietnam and Indonesia also about 18 days.
In Vietnam we went form Han oi tot Saigon and in Indonesia we did, Java, Bali, Lombok, Gilli's and Nusa Lembogan.
So we do cover a lot of distance on our travels, so that is why I think Sri Lanka maybe to small for 18 days or am I wrong.
Tips and advice are very welcome.

1Really depends on what you are seeking, the Philippines ia an amazingly beautiful country if you go to the right places. Think you will find it slightly more expensive than Vietnam, Also be aware that Easter falls inbetween those dates and travelling here can get a bit hectic then. That said if you want somewhere with lots of natural beauty, diving, snorkeling, beaches, rice terraces, wonderful local people, then Philippines would be a good option..

4What Lucapal means is that you did not "do" Indonesia..but did just a small part of it. :) (just in case the joke went over your head and you really think Sri Lanka can be "done" in a weekend. Indonesia is a huge country that you could spend years getting to know...
Sri Lanka is a fascinating country and you could easily spend the entire 18 days and not see all of it....beach, wildlife parks, cultural triangle..colonial history.....

5We like to travel fast as well, and would find 18 days OK in Sri Lanka. We just got back from 7 days there and didn't see much, despite changing location almost every night. It is a small country but getting from A to B can take time (roads are often slow going), plus there are lots of things to see between A and B!
Then again if you traveled throughout that region of Indonesia in 18 days you can't have got much beyond the main places (if at all). If you only like a glimpse of the main tourist regions then maybe you would get bored.
