Buenos Aires with a 2 year old

Hi

My wife and myself are thinking of taking a trip next year for 4/5 days to Buenos Aries with our daughter who will be 2 years old at that time. I was just wondering how child friendly a city it is. Things like pushing a stroller around, public transport, places for her to run around and play (parks for example) are the cafes and restaurants tolerant of toddlers?
Also any nice places to take her for a day out away from the city?

Thanks.

I've been there a few times, and while I haven't been there with kids, I think it is a great city for kids.

All of things you've listed above I've seen. You all should have a great trip.

We only were there for a night with our 3 and 6 year old but it is definitely kid friendly. We were treated extremely well by the Argentinians when traveling with children, especially by taxi drivers! We even got invited home to dinner by a few people. They love kids there and are very accommodating. i would have no hesitation taking small kids to Argentina.

We were in Argentina when my oldest son was 3. BA is quite kid-friendly. There are nice parks to play and run around. My husband was working while we were there for a few days, so I took my son on the public bus everywhere - zoo, parks, cemetary museums. The restaurants are fine with kids. The toughest part was that they eat their meals so late in the evening. We were always the first ones (and usually the only ones) in the restaurants for dinner and gone before the crowds even started. Lovely city. Enjoy
