The closest airport to Białystok is in Warsaw. Check AirBaltic for cheap flights to Warsaw Okęcie (aka Frederic Chopin) airport. From there either take a direct bus to Białystok (http://podlasie-express.pl, 4 hrs) or use the airport train to get to Warszawa Zachodnia station and change there for a train to Białystok (3 hrs, http://pkp.pl).

Train: there's a slow train connection from Vilnius to Białystok (7+ hrs). Since you'd still need to get a bus from Riga to Vilnius it makes little sense. Better take the direct Ecolines bus that you've already found.

How many stops do you want to make on the way? You could do Tallinn - Tartu - Valga - Cesis - Sigulda - Riga all directly by train. Bus to Vilnius or Kaunas, then you could get the Sestokai Sulwalki railroad (VilniusWarsaw train, kind of like the 'Trans-siberian of central/northern Europe!) to one of the stations in Northern Poland, and make your way from there.

We are flying to Riga and from Riga we will be in Bialystok for some days so we have to get there.

Its okey to stop mabey 1 time on the way if we take a train. Do u know any site where we can buy tickets with a train from Riga to bialystok in Poland? :)

If you want to make a stop on the way then:
1) fly to Warsaw and make a stop there for 2-3 days.
2) take a bus to Vilnius (e.g. Ecolines, no need to book in advance) and visit Vilnius for a day or two. From Vilnius either use a bus (Ecolines, 6 hrs, no changes, book on-line a few days in advance) or the train (7 hrs, change in Kaunas and Šeštokai, buy your ticket at Vilnius train station right before departure).

The reason me and #2 suggest taking a bus all the way or at least to Vilnius is that there are no sensible train connections between Riga and Vilnius, nor between Riga and Białystok. Either bus to Vilnius and train to Białystok or bus all the way.

If you insist, you can of course find a train connection (see pkp.pl or bahn.de) - with 4 changes and 24 hrs travel time :)

what is the best bus company?
See #1 & #4. There's also SimpleExpress.

Yes, given the 500 km distance, narrow roads and stops along the way. And actually it is closer to 10 hrs, since Poland and Latvia are in different time zones.
