Hostel
Hello,I will be flying into Beijing early January and staying for 4 days before flying to Thailand. Does anyone have any recommendations of a hostel to stay in for 3 nights or potentially an area to look in for a hostel. I understand that it is really cold in Beijing around this time of the year and the majority of the reviews I am seeing are from the summer season, does anyone have any recommendations for hostels in the winter.
Much appreciated if anyone can help!

Beijing is huge. Make sure you stay within 2nd (or 3nd) ring and close to the subway. Usually Chaoyang district is a popular staying area for tourists. You could search more relevant details in Tripadvisor.2
Dozens of hostels around Qianmen. Look on the hostelworld website or YHA China.3

Hey! I stayed in a lovely hostel called 1 Hai Inn, i'll post you a link to it if you're interested. It's in a Hutong which is cool because you really get to see the 'old' part of the city, but close to the underground and lots of other sweet little winding roads with great food places (five minute walk away is a GREAT 24 hour restaurant which I loved). The hostel staff are friendly and helpful, and there's all the needed amenities (internet, cafe, maps, laundry etc.) and it's clean and bright. Hope that helps! Although like all the other posts said, there are a vast amount of good hostels all over the city, so you won't find it difficult to find one :)Heres a link to Hai Inn:
