travelling through Iraq

Has anyone travelled overland from Kuwait up through Iraq? Or does an any one have ideas?

Without a valid Iraqi visa, it is not possible to travel in Iraq. In order to get an Iraqi visa, you need official sponsorship from the military, NGO or media organization. These groups do not hand out invitations to random travellers. Therefore, you cannot get an Iraqi visa and cannot do this trip.

there is Border between Iraq and Kuwait via Basra, once you have valid visa then you can cross the border, it's like any other border crossing...nothing special, however travelling through other parts of Iraq might not be safe...although it depends on where you go and what you do!

too dangerous i friends in bagdad even saying for me not to visit
