1Lombok is a world class tourist destination. What is the problem?

2the cost of Accommodation and transport is less in Thailand than Indonesia.
train fares are less in thailand than Indonesia.
you can still find Guest houses in Thailand for 150bt a night =47.000rps.
in lndonesia it is very hard to find any place to stay for less than 100.000 rps a night.
=320bt a night.
and you dont get a very nice place for the 100.000 rps a night.
also lndonesia has a $25 us dollar visa. thailand visa free.

as you'll be entering Indonesia anyway, you'll no doubt be on a 30 day Visa On Arrival so why leave before you have to.
Lombok, I'm jealous, a great island; an island I chose to spend the last 3 weeks of a 12 month travelling period.
Cheap accommodation can be had at Senggigi, I have contact details for someone who has rooms (or houses) for 50,000 a night ( the house is 80,000 - 8 USDs).
My daily budget during my 10 months in Indonesia was 15 USD a day - including everything from room to food, water to bike rental, I stayed in some lovely places - a bed and somewhere safe for my gear , clean and tidy was all I needed, and is what I got most nights lol.
Let me know if you want any contact details for the Senggigi accommodation, I can also supply photos.

4Cheaper than Thailand, just as easy and just as interesting (maybe more).
What are your interests? There are loads of possibilities.......

5You will already be in a beautiful island in Indonesia, why would you want to fly to Thailand, where admittedly you have already been twice before? Break out a little and stay and enjoy it with an open mind....
And there are many other wonderful islands in Indonesia to visit with amazing diverse cultures, stunning scenery (lakes, volcanos, cliffs, beaches, valleys, agriculture) and wonderful people....if you can squeeze a couple months you can visit a few of them.

6if u want to see beach in indonesia, try to explore in south of jave island. much beach with carst hill. you'll will find a best panoramic. so natural and no much people go there. try to search on google. pantai klayar, watukarung, goa gong and pantai srau. you must rent a motorcycle if you want to explore the location. maybe you will found a nice adventure.
because I'm ever there twice

11I think enough 10 days, you can spend time 5 days in Bali and Lombok 5 days. there is a lot of activity in Bali you can be seen in http://baligothic.com/ or http://baligracecycling.com/ for cycling tour, and you can spend the time lombok at Senggigi beach. I can tell you for a fee is still cheaper in Indonesia and easy to accommodation

well I spent the last 3 weeks of a 12 month trip in Senggigi. I didn't waste those weeks in Senggigi.... in fact I had a great time attending weddings in local villages (from 6am helping with the food preparation all the way through to beyond the ceremony); attending funerals in local villages (unfortunately).... eating with local familes in and around Mataram / Ampenan / Sweta and Senggigi, as well as spending time with local people away on day trips.
I was based in Senggigi for those three weeks, living in Green Valley - not one of those days was wasted. In fact, the many months I spent in Indonesia, I can openly say not one of those days was wasted..... I would do it all the exact same way if I had the opportunity.
As merantau says, Senggigi isn't all that special; but the people of Senggigi and surrounding areas are among the friendliest during my Indo travels....and yes, for me it was a tourist pit, but I'm a traveller who can stay away from tourism and tourists even when engulfed by it / them!!!!!
