Official airport Taxi to Kampala from EBB airport

Can somebody tell what is the latest official taxi fare to Kampla from the airport?. Im arriving at afternoon.Thanks in advance

Don't get an official taxi. I recall getting an unmarked taxi ride into town for about half a euro last year.

scroll down the uganda posts this was asked only a few days ago and I doubt prices have changed since then.

As for #1 I can only believe that they had so much to drink they could not tell the difference between a 1 Euro and a 100 euro note or that they went in a share taxi to Entebbe and not kampala

I'm pretty sure it was around 2000UGX. Like I said, it was not a formal taxi. Going with a formal taxi is just throwing your money away.

@bigal1: In the other thread you pointed out, you yourself said you could get a shared taxi for 1000UGX. Would you care to tell me how many euros that is?

Airport tax can charge you about 60,000 - 80,000shillings = 30 -38 USD

A transfer provided by our Entebbe guesthouse at the end of last year was about 15000Ush, presumably you could get a taxi to town for around the same amount. Then a matatu from Entebbe to Kampala is 3000Ush.

I can see the point in a private taxi all the way late at night, but no need to spend the extra if if you're arriving in daytime.
