Best way to snorkel Raja Empat on a budget? Is there a budget way do great snorkeling (not diving) in Raja Empat? Are there any house reefs at the guesthouses? Can I get a boat to take me snorkeling somewhere? I'd like to do this on the cheap.
What places do you recommend to stay that provide food as well?

1For information on Raja Ampat have a look at the Indonesia forum. I remember seeing a report a few months back on this same topic - if you run a search for Raja Ampat you should a number of posts. There was a link to a homestay site that might be useful. Good luck with your plans - the snorkeling in the Raja Ampat area is fantastic!!

3We did a dedicated snorkeling liveaboard (the Shakti)in July of 2011 - departed from Sorong and went north to the Wayag area and stopped at several places in between. The snorkeling in all the areas was just the best we have done. Being in our late 60's, early 70's the backpacking route was not for us - the liveaboard was very pricey and not how we normally travel but in order to experience this part of the world it was the only option for us.
