Environmental work in Panama

Hey, i am currently looking to try and find some environmental work in Panama. I study environmental science and am currently on my placement year. I will be in Panama from Jan/Feb time and will be able to work for around 3 months. I don´t mind if it is voluntary work, however i am struggling to find environmental groups of organisations in the country. If anyone knows of any organisations, national parks or anything along those lines that i could work/volunteer at, or has any tips please let me know.

It may help to know where you are coming from and what languages you speak.

Okay Josh! I found something for you:

Shane Cameron Jarvis - Captain/Owner at Propiedad de Paradise Lodge - an exclusive fishing charter in Chiriqui - suggested:

"Get in touch with John Maynard he is the President of the Panama Marine Resource Foundation and I know he needs some help. Tell him Shane said HI! https://www.facebook.com/groups/271655849601819/"

Great group of people up there, so I am sure this would be an awesome opportunity if you can get in there.

Best wishes. Please keep me posted how things progress either way!

I had another friend in Chiriqui recommend checking with Rambala Jungle Lodge if you would like to head toward Bocas. Either is not far from the CR border, but check into both to see what you might be able to get yourself into. No direct contact info for this one, but they have contact information on their website: http://rambalajunglelodge.com/

Once again, good luck. I sent you a private message to keep into contact through my personal email.
