Lost Australian Passport - Entry Stamp?

Hi everyone,
I just have a question and figured this is the best place to ask it.
I have lost my Australian passport in the UK, the one I entered on and I'm just wondering if it needs an entry stamp in it?, like the one I got at Manchester Airport.
I plan on being here for another 3 months and it may create an issue if I don't have one, can someone please let me know what the protocol is as I'm lodging my application for a new passport in the next 24 hours.

Much appreciated

People lose passports all the time. The Home Office would have a record of the day you arrive. Not sure that you will have much to worry about. Just make sure that you have the lost passport cancelled as soon as possible so that someone else doesn't try to use it for identity theft purposes.

When you go to Australia House to get a replacement passport, a remark will be added on the observation page stating that the passport was issued as a replacement for a lost passport . Normally it also includes the number of the lost passport; however, UKBA will have no problem finding your file as immigration computers can use other vital statistics to locate a file within the system. Just remember that when you go to Australia House you must have the police report on you!
