Rottnest Island NEW YEARS EVE 2012
Hey all,I'm going to be on Rottnest Island for new years eve this year. Looking to find out what the night life scene is like? Any recommendations on where to celebrate? Do we need to get tix in advance?
My bf and I like to party, dance, see live music.....

The "night life scene" is the Hotel Rottnest AKA the Quokka Arms. Last year they had a DJ and a couple of bands. Tickets were $45. This year's wild festivities are as yet unannounced but check the hotel website for updates.BTW if you're staying at the hostel or anywhere in the Kingstown Barracks, alcohol is banned.

The Bayseeker bus goes all around Rottnest. Once you're away from the main accomodation areas the bays get much less crowded.Some good info here. You can also buy a snorkelling guide on the island.
