July 2013

In July of 2012, I did a 4 week trip in SE Asia and had a lot of fun. I started in Bangkok than flew to Phucket. After, I flew from Bangkok to Phom Penh. From there took a bus to Siem Riep. After I took a Bus to Hoc Chi Ming city only to fly to Danang than to Hanoi. After I flew back to Bangkok and then on to Chiang Mai,

Now for tis summer, I plan on going for 5 weeks. Fly to Bangkok spend the night then take a flight to Kuala Lampur Malaysia on which I will immediately fly to Vientiane. I will then take a bus to Luang Praband and then back to Vientiane. After I will fly bback to Kuala Lampur and spend a few days there prior to flying to Penang. After Penang, I will fly to Jakarta Indonesia. After spending a few days there, I will fly to Bali from which I will fly to Clark then on to Borocay. From Borocay I will fly back to Bangkok.

I have 5 weeks. Do you you think it would be possible to squeeze in Signapore?

Why not just fly direct from Bangkok to Vientiane? or even to Udon Thani and take a short bus ride to Vientiane?

Also Boracay in July/August is likely to be windy, if not a little rainy..

seems well rushed to me, and a bit of a mess, frankly. I'm planning an approx 45 day almost seven week trip just in the Philippines, no aircraft involved, taking in 7 different islands, and I'm concerned I might be rushing it too much. But compared to the itinerary in the OP, which seems a touch ridiculous to me, it's looking well chilled.

As above.....why fly to bangkok for a night and then to Kl..and then straight to Laos?

Where are you starting from?

Can't you go straight to Laos or at least fly there from Bangkok?

your have to go via KL or via Singapore.

Just a guess but I'd say without checking the flights are with Air Asia. But seems a bit silly to fly to Vientiane when you can take an overnight train to Nong Khai, transport to bridge, cross over and tuk tuk to Vientiane.
