Ica/Huacachina

Hey! So I´m planning on traveling to Peru for three weeks at the end of Dec/early January. I am planning on going from Lima to Paracas to Ica/Huacachina. Does anyone have any recomendations for good places to stay or good tour companies to use in Ica/Huacachina. I hear that Huacachina is worht it for the view but is it worth staying a few days?? Just looking for some pointers! Thanks!

I didn´t like Huacachina that much. It is nice for a day, and the sand dunes, sandboarding and sandbuggying are amazing, but there´s not much else to do. Actually, you can do the Nasca lines tour from there, so perhaps you can consider that. In term of tour agencies doing the sandbuggying, sandboarding etc, I think they´re all pretty much the same. Most hostels offer the tours, so that's probably the most convenient way to go.

I thought that it is a nice enough place to relax for a few days. It's true there isn't much in the way of activities after the sand buggies/boarding. If you are a backpacker then casa de arena is a sociable hostel.
