Currency at ATMs

I have read on other threads that the CIBC Advantage debit card works in ATMs. Can both CUC and CUP be withdrawn from ATMs?

I have no idea about the specifics of the CIBC card.

Although some ATMs can issue CUP to Cuban cards, I am pretty sure that international cards can only get CUC.

Yes probably that is the only Canadian Debit card to work in Cuba as it is a Visa card. Most other Canadian Debit cards do not operate on that banking platform.
As Beardo suggests only a card issued by a Cuban bank will issue CUP.

roxyb: be assured you will have no problem acquiring CUP. One trip to a cadeca and a 10 CUC investment will get you more CUP than most tourists will spend on a trip. They go a long way.

Although CUPs can be taken out with some cards, mine do not offer that option and I doubt if any international ones do.

If you are wanting to get CUP, you should be able to get some at a Cadeca in a hotel without much problem.

Can a foreign Master Card / debit card (Cirrus) works at ATMs in Habana? Or only VISA possible? Thanks!

#6 - only Visa. Mastercard inside the bank, but not at the ATM. And you would have read elsewhere that your bank must not be affiliated with banks in the USA?

Be warned - some non-US banks route their operations through a US-based office and that can block things, too.
