Assassination attempt on Pto Vallarta's police chief

This morning at approx. 8AMCDT, a armed commando shot at and threw two hand grenades at a car carrying Puerto Vallarta's new police chief. The second grenade incinerated the car, as well as a taxi cab that was near by. Minor injuries with the exception of a small child who was at the scene and hit by shrapnel, in serious condition.
