Kili to Dar in 4-5 daysHi everyone,
Is it easy enough to get from Kilimanjaro to Dar es Salam in 4-5 days while still enjoying the time in between? Tickets are looking cheaper flying into one and out the other but I need to meet a friend about 4-5 days in to my trip. Any recommendations on the best way to make the most out of that time and get to Dar? There are so many amazing options of things to do and see around Kili and I'd be grateful for thoughts on which route to take with such limited time.

1This will depend on the destinations and attractions being visited within the 2 destinations. If visiting parks and doing other activities the time might be a little short. If the activities and destinations would have been included, it will be much easier to advise.

2You can arrange a day trip to "chemka" hot spring or Arusha park or mount Kili (Marangu route) or rau forest with local tour guides (we went to "chemka"in our last day of safari these guys arranged it), later drive to Moshi. Instead of flying to Dar es Salaam, take a bus (Dar express or Kilimanjaro are reliable) to see more interesting usambara mountains running along with you down to Tanga from just after Himo.
Arrive dar and next day visit makumbusho (Tanzania national museum), then Kariakoo market and later back to your hotel.
Next day catch flight and fly away!!

5I would not advise taking the buses. We just returned from five weeks in Tanzania, including about 30 hours of buses: "Just don't go there". Fly. Stay at the Tanzanite Hotel, and eat at the nearby Chinese restaurant that sells beer.
