15"Ok, maybe you should try calling the Apsara Authority and ask them if they'll please take the tarpaulin off for the day of your visit?"
ok, i'll do that.
hey I was just asking if anyone knew when it would be taken down so I can plan my visit... Why does it have to sound so hostile?
"That and hold back the 38,000 tourists that will be in your photo"
I'll halt all incoming flights and all human movements for the entire week of my stay

16Actually vicama, it's just the advice you need. You're better off dropping your obsession of the perfect Angkor Wat shot/experience. Even with the green tarp at Angkor Wat, the restaurations at Ta Prohm and I don't know what else is and will be going on at Angkor, you should just go and enjoy it. It's a very special place, even with all the tourists. Besides, there is so much more to Angkor than just Angkor Wat. I'm not a big history fan or whatever but I was there for a second time just a few weeks ago and enjoyed it very much. I was with a newbie but we included Banteay Srei in our itinerary which was absolutely beautiful.
What I'm trying to say is: Get over yourself and enjoy Angkor, you'll love it! :)

Yeah, I understand. I've been researching heaps of consistently been hearing how it's much more than the main Angkor Wat temple and how good the other temples are. Still just researching and deciding whether to go now or in a few years. It's just I'm not sure when another opportunity will arise (if ever), if I don't go this time.
"Anyway, your in luck. I just heard that they are taking all the green tarps and scaffolding down off of the main Angkor Wat next thursday (11th)."
Wait what?!?! Really? Where did you hear this from? Yes!!
