Solo traveller - Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras and beyond

Hi,
I am travelling from LA to Puerto Escondido Mexico then on to Antigua Guatemala, starting at the end of November this year, and looking at doing about a week in puerto.
Was thinking of organizing the 'Bamba Experience' bus to travel around, is this a good service?
I am a female and want to feel safe as I travel, so If anyone is also traveling these parts and would like some company let me know.
I am travelling through Central America for 2 and a half months from the end of novemeber to the start of Feb, meeting up with friends along the way in some parts, but am looking for fun people to travel with!
I have to make my way up to Playa Del Carmen by mid december to meet friends flying in from Oz.
Would love to here from anyone interested in helping me travel a few of the scary parts of CA!! And also anyone who loves to explore, get into the culture, relax, party and have a great time!
