Hostel Prices in Europe....Does this sound realistic?

Hostel Prices in Europe....Does this sound realistic?
Been looking at hostel prices just for approx costs does this seem roughly right???Prague - 6 nights £70.00
Olamouc - 5 nights £40.00
Krakow - 5 nights £25.00
Budapest - 6 nights £40.00
Zagreb - 5 nights £70.00
These are all via booking.com and are average score of 7 or above??
That would mean I could travel from 4th November to 1st December for under £300.00 for accomodation.
I then move on to Western Europe
Germany
Holland
Belgium
Which I understand will be far more
For the length of time I am stayin in places am I best looking for apartment? And where do I start with this search?

Prague - could find it for cheaperOlomouc - may struggle at that price due to lack of competition
Krakow - that is the very cheapest you will get
Budapest - again close to the cheapest you will find
Zagreb - could get it a bit cheaper, but I'm not sure why you want to spend 5 nights here......
I would say £300 is a generous budget for accommodation.
You are probably better off using specialist hostel websites like hostelbookers and hostelworld than a more general website like booking.com.

I wouldn't spend five nights in Zagreb. Two or maybe three would be enough, in my opinion. I've never been to Olomouc, but I doubt you need five days there. You could probably also shave one day off of the other cities on the list, and use that time to see some different landscapes, smaller villages, national parks (Plitvice in Croatia, for example), rather that just big cities.Check out www.inyourpocket.com, which has city guides online, including accommodation recommendations, for the cities you list. Sometimes apartments can be cost effective for small groups, but I think hostels will probably be cheaper for you, usually.

I found booking.com a fine site. It often includes hostel-type places and unlike the hostel booking sites, you don't have to put any money down when you book.I agree with Tryfan; sites like hostelworld and hostelbookers are much better at hostels than booking.com, where a lot of hostels are not listed. Because of the payment system of booking.com, a lot of (especially) smaller places chose not to be listed there.

#4I've been to Lake Bled before and found it to be truly amazing, this was now 8 years ago and a re-visit may very well be on the cards.
I am still very much in a 'planning or no planning' phase, I only have my first 2 nights booked in Prague but I am willing to move around alot more than I have stated. Willing to take things very much as I plan. Have been researching around Krakow also.
Just obvioulsy a little worried of not planning ahead and then having to fork out higher prices for hostels or is it better to just when you are there go with the flow your always gonna get a decent enough price with a hostel?
