Beach in Vietnam in November
Hi,Could someone please give me some advise on wheres best to go to for a beach stay in November. I have tried to do some research and it looks like northern and central Vietnam can get some pretty bad rain at this time of year. Our original idea was to go to Hoi An but I think we may have to look at other places.
We fly to & from Ho Chi Minh.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

I'm also planning on going in November too and I want sunny beaches and blue skies! My research showed it to be dry in Nov. Can anyone confirm?I was hoping to visit beaches from Ho Chi Minh all the way up to Hanoi. Pretty much all of these: http://www.lonelyplanet.com/vietnam/travel-tips-and-articles/1374

Head south, Hoi An is pretty wet in November, north is too cold. #2 your research was incorrest.3
Hi,Yeah that's what I thought that the north is pretty cold & Hoi An can get flooded at that time of year!
I have looked at Phu Quoc Island & I though that was maybe an option, I'm just a bit worried that its a bit dead on an evening!!
The biggest problem is we only have a week & I'd like to go to halong bay too!!
Thanks for all the info guys, it's really appreciated!!
=D exciting times!!

Hey, I am going to Ho Chi Minh in November as well and was advised not to go to Nha Trang or Hoi An..They said it would be flooded that time of year... So I have decided to go to Phu Quoc since the weather is suppose to be dry and sunny still??? according to some sites I have googled it's the best time between Nov-April..
If you're going to the same place.. How do you plan on travelling there? I'm in Vietnam for just under a week but don't want to book a plane to Phu Quoc from HCMC.. any idea how long it is to bus and take the hydrofoil/ferry? if the cost is roughly the same I rather take the plane..

From Ha Tien to Saigon took us a whole day, so you'll probably have to stay the night in Ha Tien and take the boat next morning, but I don't know how late the boats leave.

Re #7 there are between 3 and 4 boats a day in November-usually two in the morning at 08.00-08.30 and two in the afternoon,at 13.00-13.30.That's the last boat from Ha Tien.Sometimes one of the boats is out of service for maintenance or repairs-actually today there is no afternoon boat, but it should be back in service soon.11
Phu Quoc Island or Halong Bay is too beautiful. if u have more time, u will go to Halong to enjoy in natural space, which is called the world Heritage
