Ethio travel and tours

Hi everyone, i am thinking of booking a couple of tours with Ethio travel and tours. I will be doing the historic cicuit and maybe a couple of extra things. I have contacted them and they have answered very promptly. Their prices seem right as i am on a budget. They have asked for a 20% deposit paid into their account. Is this normal? Anybody had any experiance with them? Any answers much appreciated. James

I had trip with them and paid on arrival. No deposit was required.

They have just emailed me and say they dont require a deposit afterall.

I did a 4 day 3 night tour with them in the Danakil. It was great - good 4x4s with AC, good food and yeah, i just paid when i showed up, in Birr.

The only problem was that we had booked for the 27th and when we arrived in Makelle the day before were told the trip had been moved until the 28th. We were told this was because of the Meskel festival, so it might have been a once-off.

Anyway, great tour and the best value for money we could find.

Sounds good Luke. Im going to do the historic circuit with them and a couple of flights. i f all goes to plan i will leave a good review of them on here and other forums.
