1Thats quite a marathon in only 2 weeks. Consider flying from Hanoi to Hue to maximize your time in the city.
You do not say when you plan to travel but consider carefully and research the climate in Sapa when you plan to be there or consider either Halong bay or Sapa not both in order to spend more time enjoying Hanoi

2Your itinerary is very rushed. Cut out a few places and visit them next time as I'm sure you'll want to go back.
Spend more time in Hanoi. Its a great city and should be savoured not clicked.

7Night train is cruel but Vietnam Airlines are now expensive. Maybe Jetstar has a good deal at the time from Da Nang.

8Like other opinions, you spend so much time on transportation. I think this time you can enjoy the beauties of North and Central Vietnam first, and then go back Vietnam another time for discovering the rest, so you have more time to spend each place you visit. My suggestions as below:
- Spend one more night in Sapa bcz this place is very beautiful
- 2 days 1 night in Halong is enough
- Instead of visiting South of Vietnam, try another place in North like Tam Coc - Ninh Binh
- Should take flight from Hanoi to Hue by Jetstar Airline (book as soon as possible to get cheap tickets). 2 days in Hue would be great: one day Hue city tour, one day visit DMZ-a historical battle in Quang Tri Province.
- Hoian - a shopper’s paradise, a great location for foodies - is a fascinating stop, so pity if just stay for 1 night.
- Mondial Hotel Hue (in Hue) and Hoian Hotel (in Hoian) are excellent choices if you're looking for good hotels in Vietnam.

9Nowaday many people go to Sapa-Laocai so many tourist came there. If you want to go to the place not many people discovered I think you can exchange your route. you ought to go to Bac Ha town. It also have a lot sight seeing for you discover and there are many tribe market In Sunday, saturday, tuesday, thursday

12Unless you have another reason to go to Saigon (catch a flight, meet up with someone etc) I'd skip the south and focus on the north. Spend extra nights in Sapa Halong Bay and Hanoi. You can also hop down to Ninh Binh and spend a couple days on a bicylcle taking in the incredible scenery. It's only 2-3 hours from Hanoi. You can probably omit NB and possibly squeeze in Hue and/ or Hoi An but don't try to do too much, otherwise it all becomes a blur.
I don't generally suggest taking a tour but I really think it makes sense for Sapa and Halong Bay. There are plenty of operators who are reliable and reasonably priced. You can definately do these trips on your own but with limited time they'll allow you to spend your time more efficiently plus you get to meet other travelers for a few days.

13From Hanoi to Hue, I recommend taking the night train. For less than your hotel bill for the night, get a soft sleeper bottom bunk. Not the Ritz, but it's pretty comfortable, although bathrooms are icky and they crank up the AC at night. Flight to Hue on Vietnam Airlines was a little pricey IMHO at $100+.
