Late Arrival in Tunis airportWe arrive in Tunis at 1am. The hotel we would like to book does not permit check in at this late hour. Does anyone have a recommendation of a budget hotel that would permit a late check in.
Also, what is the best option from the airport to the city centre at this time of night (morning). Or is it better to stay at the airport until the morning?
If anyone has any other options or suggestions I would appreciate hearing from you?

1I would stay at the airport.
Tunisia to me, when I went didn't seem to be a very easy going place. If you try to find a place to stay at that time, you might find that places are closed or it's not possible to check in at that time.
I found Tunis to have a bit of a weird atmosphere late at night myself, but then I did arrive after the trouble with the riots.
When I arrived I waited at the airport to early in the morning at a time when I thought the train station would be open. I took a taxi and it was closed with a few people loitering around outside, I asked the driver to drop me somewhere safe where I waited for an hour and a half. It turned out okay and it was fine in the center while I was waiting, but I learnt from this, that in Tunisia it's best to do things during daylight. It's not a 24 hour place, even in the capital.
