How to reach ramkamhaeng (by canal) from MRT?
Hi everyone, can you help me please to understand the way to reach soi 89 ramkamhaeng rd, in bangkapi, bangkok, using the canal boat, and MRT systems, i believe if I reach Petchaburi MRT, i can then walk a short distance to the smaller Canal, which can take me to Bangkapi mall pier, (the last stop), is that true? If yes, what time does the last boat leave near Petchaburi MRT to go Bangkapi? thanks1
Take the MRT to petchaburi follow the signs for the asoke/petchaburi pier and take any boat going from right to left. Boats frequency depends on time of day, but you will not be waiting for a boat more than ten minutes or so. Apparently this service has been extended all the way to miniburi, so the mall Bangkapi is not the last stop.2
Mall Bangkapi is correct stop for soi 89 I think.Go before dark, boat service stops not too long past sunset, about 20.00 latest, some stations earlier.
If you need later time take airport train line, local train, to hua mak station and last 2 km per bus or taxi, anything that goes north along Srinakarinda road (bus 145 among them, or was 143? Not sure...).

Alternatively, to get to Bangkapi Mall with MRT:- take MRT to Lad Prao station
- exit via exit#4 (ParknRide) which will put you on the correct side of the road. As you come out look right - there is a small bus stop. You can catch a taxi from here to either The Mall Bangkapi or right to Ramkamhang 89 (depends on traffic/time of day - 80-120baht); or take aircon bus #8 or #44 for 14 baht per person (there are both aircon and non-aircon bus #8 and #44). Get off at Happyland intersection to cross to the Mall via overhead foot bridge.
- make your way to the back of the Mall (canal) and cross the footbridge to Ramkamhang 89/1 or 89/2 as required.
The suggested route to Hua Mak AirportCityLink station is also very good. Just finding a taxi from the station later at night can be a bit difficult at times (I do this quite often as I have relatives in Bangkapi)
