when is best time to go to LC BC for us

I am taking my girlfriend to LC BC. Trying to decide on whether to go in early Dec ( getting back by 12/15 to avoid Christmas rush ) or wait to go in Jan just after the first. I know cost may be more in Jan.

We are going to chill, do some snorkeling, and I will be doing some fishing.

Opinions on best time for these activities would be appreciated.
PS. Will be staying about 2weeks either way.

LC/BC would make a good name for a rock band

I have good news and bad news.

Bad news first:

Same price for both because the high season runs into April. Also high winds and rough seas from Nov - Feb.

And for the good news:

Corn Island is still paradise!

I didn't want to be the one to break the bad news, glad I got beat to it. Weather that time of year can be dicey but that said the weather here is so unpredictable that you are just as likely to have more nice days than not. Locals call it Christmas weather.

The time around Christmas is a fun time, lots of Islanders come home from all corners of the World to be with their families, gets extra festive.

I'd go with January. I think you would be more likely to see rain in December.

Thanks for all the replies. Will probably go in Jan or maybe even Feb. It seems later may be a better time. I am just itching to go somewhere...now. BTW how's the weather there in November? I guess rainy.

If you can wait Feb/ March are usually amazing, April eveb more so. Don't be scared about December/January just pack a few books in case it rains.

We are in a weird weather pattern this year so I would not think much about how it usually is, need to make it 4 more weeks to be sure of no hurricanes, the biggest to hit here have always been Oct/Nov storms, after that is is all gravy.
