Ghana Fuel prices

Dear Ghana Travelers,

can anyone please tell me how much a liter of fuel costs in Ghana at the moment?
And does anyone have experience on expected fuel costs of a 4x4 Nissan going from Accra to Mole and back?

(someone in Ghana told me that a liter was about 8 Cedis - 4 USd but this rather seems to be per Gallon!? its just too much!!)

Also if you would suggest the best things to see around Kumasi, on the way to and coming from Mole, as well as cheap and nice places to sleep over in the area...
