3 weeks in the Philippines

Hi everyone,

I have 3 weeks in january in the philippines and am trying to decide on a rough travel idea..

Does anyone know of any places that are a MUST to see whilst I am over there? I am planning on doing the rice terraces in banaue but other than that I'm still searching for ideas..

Any help would be appreciated!

El Nido in my opinion is a world class ecotourist destination and you should try and see that area for about 4 days. There are lots of other nice places in the Philippines but they are not must sees. Coron island in North Palawan, Sabang beach in Palawan, Puerto Galera, Camiguin island, are some of my favorites.

Probably need at least one week for Banaue (dont forget Batad and Sagada also) then if you head back to Manila fly out to either Palawan as above or the Visayas, Cebu, Bohol and Negros..

A couple of nights in Banaue, Ifugao then Sagada, Mt. Province perhaps.

5 more or less days excluding travel time.

How about Vigan, Ilocos Sur. (Banaue and vigan are both listed in the Unesco world heritage site.

For 3 weeks I'd suggest a loop through the northern mountains and the rest of the time in north Palawan. That gives you the best of the mountains and the sea, and anything more would be rushed.
