India 21st - 29th Nov.
Hey everyoneI'm going to India in the end of November. I'll fly to Mumbai (arrive at 6am) and i'll go back from Delhi
My plan is something like this
Mumbai - 1 days
Jodhpur - 2 days
Jaipur - 1 day
Agra - 1 day
Varanasi - 2
New Delhi - 2
Is it too much for 9 days? Is it easy to find trains for those places? I was thinking of night trains to save time.
Thank you very much

Way too much ... travel is SLOW in India.ideas ... Skip Mumbai and just fly in and out of Delhi. Or Drop Varanasi. or Drop Jodhpur and Jaipur ... personally, I'd drop Varanasi at a minimum it's too far away - and I doubt you'll find 'night' trains for all your journey ... and no it's not easy. You should be booking any train you want - now.

Agree - way to much - I think even if you drop Varanasi (which is far away) it will be tough as traveling is slow. Check the trains (and factor in delays). Trains also are not that comfortable - you will be travelling more or less every night and then running through the towns. My advice - do less and if you have the money fly sometimes3

stick to one region... either a) fly into delhi and do the age old golden triangle or b) fly into mumbai... and explore nearby marvels, such as the shivaji forts, beaches, ajanta caves, malvani, lonar, matheran, mahableshwar, etcin your itinerary you can take a few days off... in respect of travel. you may not always be able to catch the night train... maybe you wont get a seat... maybe there is no train... bla bla. unless you are going to fly... avg. flight costs €100. what you drew up is just not going to happen.

Far, far too much - I doubt if one could actually do it.There are no trains from Mumbai to Udaipur, by train you would have to transit Ahmedabad and that'll take you over 36 hours. There is a very slow train AHM to UDA but it is not really an option in your case.
The idea of joe's that you fly in/out Delhi is the best one. I'd also drop Varanasi - it's too far off the main route but if you really want to do this, then fly direct to VAR on landing.
Best option without flying must be the standard tourist route, DEL - AGR - JAIP - UDA.
Even then you are pushing it, drop Jaipur also.

Hello there, yeah you need to slow down and enjoy it
its much harder and slower to move and get anywhere in India than almost anywhere.
Just have a vague idea of what you want to experience.
plan some flight as a treat and one long train and then see where it takes you.
its an amazing place
let me know if i can help
