You exit sky train station the opposite way than going to Central however. It on the left hand side then, one past the Maneeya Center.
Directly across from the intercontinental and holiday inn.
Bikes, tents, stoves, any outdoor stuff, scuba, whatever. Not cheap places however.
Just for the record, I've bought a Deuter bag at Siam Paragon's dept store. Yes it was expensive (think 8000 baht), but it was no more expensive than the same bag in my home country. So I am a happy man. I did not expect to get a quality bag for 1000 baht.

@wonderingtsar2 Thanks for your advise. Maybe come and have a look first to what's inside my bag. A cheap knock-off bag is good for putting in the corner of my room. I need a workhorse.
