"Salmon crumble"

Salmon, bread crumbs, onion, egg, mayonnaise, garlic, lemon juice. All the ingredients mixed, then made into what were to have been salmon patties. Two of them broke apart as I tried to turn them over in the skillet. Like Humpty Dumpty, they couldn't be put together again. What to do?

I removed them from the skillet, finished the remaining patties, then after putting the good patties on paper toweling to drain I tossed the six or seven pieces of the two broken salmon patties back into the skillet, broke them into even smaller pieces, and cooked them until there was about an even blend of crisp and tender salmon in the mix. I decided to call it salmon crumble, and I think I'll plate it up with a warm lentil salad and a vegetable. Waste not, want not.

Very clever NA. The last 2 times I made salmon cakes they also crumbled. Since I'm the only one who eats it in my house I just mixed them with mustard and chowed down. I love salmon cakes!

Yum - sounds good! I'm not sure there is any bad way to cook salmon.
