Please advise needed ASAP!!!
Hello! So, I've been offered a job as a Front Office Agent in one of the leading hotel brands with the wage 1200dhms+bonus from up sale; sharing accommodation, food, transportation and insurance is also covered. My question is this offer OK for a start? I would really appreciate any advises and tips you'll provide. Thank You in advance!1
Post it also at www.britishexpats.com on the Middle East board. There are lots of British expats that work there and can give you some good advice.
Best of luck!

The salary is low, but is probably quite normal for jobs in the hotel industry in the UAE. It depends on what you are looking for and how the salary compares to what you could earn in your home country. If you are just starting your career and want to get some working experience overseas, then it should be fine. You will not be able to save money, but all of your basic living expenses - accommodation, food, transport - are covered by the company.
However, if you have already been working for a number of years and can earn more in your home country, maybe this job is not the right one for you.
P.S. It is quite normal in the UAE for employment contracts to include that the employer pays for return flights to the employee's home country, once every 12 or 24 months. You might try to get this included in your contract too.

Agree with the advice given in post #1 - you are better off asking the question in an expat forum, not a travel forum. For example, the Dubai section of expatforum.comThe salary is low but with food, accommodation and transport included you would have very few outgoings. You would need to ask yourself if you would be better off financially earning AED1200 per month in Dubai than wherever it is you're living & working now. If not, then don't go. Simple as that.

Hi!I used to live in Dubai and I have to say that this salary is extremely low!
Is this the wage for a month or is this your weekly wage? Even if it is weekly, it is still quite low, but it would be an ok salary to start with. If it is your monthly salary, then I suggest that you look elsewhere.
I am not sure where you are from, but I know that there are a lot of underpaid workers in Dubai. Most of them are from the Phillippines, India and Pakistan. Even though their pay is low, they manage to save some of it, to send it back home to support their families. That is basically the only reason they do it. Unless those are your intentions too, then don't do it.
If you are looking to establish some kind of lifestyle over there, then you will need at least 3000 Dirham per month. While taxis and food is relatively cheap, on 1200 Dirham a month you will not be able to visit any bars, go shopping or enjoy any of the things Dubai has to offer.
A meal in a restaurant plus a few drinks can cost between 300-500 Dirham, or more of course. That is almost half of you monthly wage.
I hope you can get a better offer somewhere else.
Good luck!
