Help with directions.
I plan to rent a car in St. Malo and tour the Normandy area. I want to drop the car somewhere and then visit Brussels, Bruges and end in Amsterdam. This looks like it should be easy but I am uncertain how best to do it? Where would be best to drop a car picked up in St. Malo and traveled north through Normandy (D-Day beaches, Bayeux, Rouen)? I assume train will be the best route between Bruges, Brussels and Amsterdam. But which order should I go? France to Bruges or to Brussels? This seems it should be so easy but I am baffled. I appreciate your help!2
Train is indeed the way to go. Find out first where you can drop off the car and then work your way up by train. My suggestion would be Rouen - Amiens - Lille (if you have the time, all of these places are worth spending at least half a day in) - Bruges - Brussels - Antwerp - Amsterdam.Have fun !
