1Bahnhof is the german for station. Postamt is the german for Post Office. Trains stop at the station (and unless something has gone wrong, nowhere else!!)
Most trains between Mittenwald and Innsbruck are through trains from Munich - you don't have to go anywhere its the same train and the same platform in the station. For reference, here is the current timetable which shows this: http://kursbuch.bahn.de/hafas/kbview.exe/dn/KB960_H_Taeglich_nur_10062012_08122012_G01062012.pdf?filename=KB960_H_Taeglich_nur_10062012_08122012_G01062012.pdf&orig=sT
Edited to say I hadn't seen abalada's similar response as you had double-posted. At least we said something similar!

3I will...be taking..a regional train from Munich as I will have a Bayern regional ticket
The normal (RB) price from Munich to Mittenwald is the same as a Bayern Ticket, in any case...
I can travel from Munich to Mittenwald bahnhof/postamt and then from that exact location board the ÖBB train line to get to Innsbruck. Is this correct?
Yes, as Mike has answered above...hopefully you can allow yourself a few hours to walk around pretty Mittenwald and soak up the surrounding beauty...good for the soul...
