EU DRIVING LICENCE

Does anyone know if a valid EU driving licence will serve in Mauritius for renting a car? Or I have to issue an international driving one?

Take the hassle out of your planning by getting an International Driving Permit. They are cheap and readily available from your national driving associations.

Hi,
Provided your license has a photo you will be absolutely fine - I use my UK one all the time and never once had a problem.
Note that its a legal requirement here to carry your drivers license and car hire documents with you at all times.
You can and do get stopped by police who will ask to see them and you can get fined if you dont have them with you.
