Fuel for thought MSR stoves

Hi.
I've just purchased an MSR Dragonfly Multi fuel stove. Being made in America means that the terminology for the various fuels has got jumbled in translation despite sharing the same language. I've done a google search on some of them but can leave more vacant and confused than when I logged in. What exactly is White Gas and is their a sister fuel available in England? I've read that its Petrol minus the additives! Unleaded Auto Gas I'm rather perplexed about. Any explanations greatly appreciated. Kerosene is Parafin in England though most shops servers have looked at me like I'm from a Thomas Hardy novel. What fuel do most people with this kind of stove use and recommend. Kerosene in Africa is widely available. I used it a lot in Ethiopia on those clumsy mass produced Chinese wick stoves. It did the job but was large, heavy and prone to bits falling off.
Any guidance here would be brilliant as I want to test and understand the stove before heading abroad with it.

Cheers
Karl

White gas is petrol without the additives also called Coleman fuel. Some stoves can burn standard unleaded but then require more cleaning and maintenance - and I don'tknow about the Dragonfly. This Outdoors Magic article might be worth reading.

GoOutdoors sell it.

MSRs website at least used to have the list of fuel names in different countries. I´d try there first.

White gas is Naphtha not unleaded gasoline. The stove in multi fuel in mine I have burned everything for leaded gas to Jet A. The Jet A was the best.

From your link:

Naphtha ( /ˈnæfθə/ or /ˈnæpθə/) normally refers to a number of flammable liquid mixtures of hydrocarbons, i.e., a component of natural gas condensate or a distillation product from petroleum

It would fry an engine in 10-15 minutes, try it sometime, it is not engine fuel.

I'll take your word on that.

The wiki article shows the confusion and micolett's link seems to give the clearest info - and it supports your definition and not mine. The MSR website does not mention naptha, just that white gas is known as white gas in the UK but it's not well known as that, better known as Coleman fuel.
