Try to inform the community and not to mislead the people in Thorn Tree, my dear friend.
Where in Salonica they did not accept your debit or credit card?
please list 5 shops

And 5 for Athens!

And something else.
Put some infos in your profile to see whats your objectives to give such mislead infos for the community
And Still The country has the name Former Yugoslavic Republic oF Macedonia.

Dont Forget it!

Trains to and from Skopje to Thessaloniki have stopped since September 1st. It was more like a joke really, one itinerary per week on weekends.
Small shops in Thessaloniki -and everywhere else in Greece for that matter- do not (or do not bother to) accept credit cards.. I am referring to small groceries, kiosks, caffes, small and fast-food restaurants and this sort of places.

@gaucho_gr, relax brother! No need to be aggressive, this is an international community..

Yes battybilly, the last train to Greece left Skopje on 24th August... It was only a seasonal route for the summer months.

The initial schedule was for the line to last until 30th September, but due to lack of travelers -trains went empty, not only leaving no profit but creating a big loss- it was canceled earlier. The schedule, having to leave Skopje at 05.00 am didn't help either.
The initiative for the line was from the MZ part, functioning more as a tourist line than a commuter one and catering mainly to travelers from FYROM that wanted to spent a weekend in Thessaloniki.

I am pretty relaxed brother.
But exactly because it is an international community, no one has the right to mislaed others.
Especially people who are registered just to right something once and then disappear.
you know very weel what I mean.....
