Kalash and Fairy Meadows Travelogue: Last Part

Hello travelers and local fellows

I had been documenting my Kalash and Fairy Meadow circuit - which I did in May this year - and had been publishing the the links here too.

Recently I published the 5th and the last part of the belated travelogue on my travel blog which can be seen here:
http://mozumbus.blogspot.com/2012/08/return-journey-fairy-meadows-to-karachi.html

This part covers the return journey from Fairy Meadows which we did independently. Coming back from Fairy Meadows at our own was quite a challenge, logistically speaking, and require not only good planning but improvisation skills also.

First we came down to the Karakoram Highway at Raikot Bridge which took ~4 hours, first trekking and then then jeep ride. Second step was to reach Chilas from Raikot Bridge through Karakoram Highway. This was also challenging as there is no bus stand at Raikot bridge and we had to depend on the empty seats in the passing-by vans. From Chilas we took the NATCO bus all the way to Rawalpindi; the easiest but the longest part of the return journey. Full details here: http://mozumbus.blogspot.com/2012/08/return-journey-fairy-meadows-to-karachi.html

Part 4 of the travelogue: http://mozumbus.blogspot.com/2012/07/heaven-on-earth-3-days-at-fairy-meadows.html
Part 3 of the travelogue: http://mozumbus.blogspot.com/2012/06/kalash-to-fairy-meadows-via-shandur.html
Part 2 of the travelogue: http://mozumbus.blogspot.com/2012/06/3-days-in-colorful-kalash-valley.html
