And about cooking. We`re going to have some pot to boil soup and vegetables in it but I`ve never stayed in camp sites before and have no idea about them. How can we make a fire? Is there any special place where we can burn a fire and cook on it?

Buy some tin foil and wrap a few onions and potatoes in foil and place them on the edges of the coals. Your meal can only be a pleasure.
I know of no other camping ground in the vicinity of the gate at Sesriem.
You do realise that N$400 is roughly the equivalent of US$50 ?
If you have not camped before, you do realise that you will need your own tent and camping equipment, don't you?. There may be some camp grounds that have their own tents pitched and ready for use, but they are few and far between and would cost somewhat more.

In southern Africa, a "braai" (known as a barbeque in some countries and in Australia something similar is called a Barbie) is a way of life. 99% of camp-sites will have a special place where you can make a braai. Buy a bag of wood and/or charcoal, a paket of firelighters, a box of matches, some Boerewors (Literally "Farmers sausage") some lamb chops or steak - and Bob's your uncle. Don't forget to buy a grill to contain the meat and which you place on the coals when they are ready.Buy some tin foil and wrap a few onions and potatoes in foil and place them on the edges of the coals.
