Can anyone recommend a nice place near Hanoi Airport

There is the Noi Bai Airport Hotel, probably the one you've heard about, that is close to the airport. About 3/4 of a klick away, close enough to walk if you don't have a lot of luggage. It's an old state run place, and looks it, but if you just want to get some sleep and save the time it takes to get into town, it should be OK. It's clean enough, just old and rundown, and not a great value for the price. But it does save $30 in taxi fares and a couple of hours going into the city and back.4
