I'm about to purchase a flight to Italy preferable Venice as my destination is Udine for now and then Tuscany next (but I might be able to do these in reverse if the cost is a great savings to me).
I was wondering if anyone had advice as to what airlines are giving the best rates right now and/or if you were aware of any sale/cheap ticket sites?
Thanks in advance,

What city of The USA are you departing from - and on what dates, or are you flexible?

3Thanks to both of you for your input.
I am flying from NYC and can fly from any NYC, NJ and maybe even Philly airport.
I am looking to fly btw Sept. 4th and 8th at the very latest, ideally 4th-6th.

Check out Transat from Toronto. It has some really good fares.
As a suggestion....
Toronto to either Manchester or London Gatwick.
Then from either of those, there is a bucket load of budget flights with various airlines to all over Italy.
It might be that booking so close to departure - might up the price somewhat, though.

I got a flight from JFK (NYC) to Venice for $643 with a 1 hour layover in London (Heathrow).
It's the best I could find. Thanks for your help.

10Airberlin!!! The best, according to me. The value for money is splendid. Great business class cabin with new seats. Value for money OK. You have some quite outdated reviews here (http://www.flatseats.com/Reviews/airberlin.htm). Recently posted interesting review from Europe to NYC (JFK) here (http://travelfirst.com/pays3/airberlin/airberlin_business_class_berlin_txl_new_york_jfk.html).
