Advice requested

Hi all,

(apologies for my bad English)
In less than two months we are going to South Africa.
Later on I will post a preliminary scheme. But before that I have a question. Somewhere in our trip we have to go from Port Elisabeth to Kimberly. Only problem, it seems too far to drive in once.
Does anyone know a good place to stay somewhere in the middle? (and also not too expensive)

Thanks!
Dieuwke

Its about 8 hours or so to drive I guess...

Graff Reinet is a really nice place on the way,but its a lot nearer to PE than to Kimberley!

Almost 9hour journey...doable in a day.
If you need accommodation enroute then go to googles maps and get direction/route, thereafter go to www.wheretostay.co.za
And select a town on your route and view available accommodation.

Enjoy

Thanks,
I thought it was a longer trip. But if we want to see something on the way it's no option because we don't want to drive in the dark.
So maybe Graaff-Reinet is an option.
Google maps in combination with wheretostay is also a good option. Although not so easy to know where nice places are (but on the other hand it is just for a night...)

What about Nieu Bethesda? It's a very interesting place, kind of between Port Elizabeth and Kimberley, although a little off the beaten track.
