maybe you can contact 'Backpacker Indonesia' they usually have schedule to go to krakatau (share cost)..website is in Bahasa Indonesia, but I am sure some of them can speak english.

seems the latest info they will have trip to krakatau 31 August - 2 Sept and 14-16 Sept (cost about 50$ from jakarta transport & meals)

plenty of options to visit anak krakatau,depending on your time frame and comfort level wanted>
if you want an easy pick up from jakarta airport and travel to carita beach,it becomes expensive,if you have plenty of time and patience you can catch public bus system .......also works out much cheaper if you do the tour with other travellers.....i camped on krakatau overnite with great food supplied.....most people do a single day trip....it really is up to an individuals requirement?if you e.mail roman he will structure the tour for you or a group.
