Panama to Europe.

Which European country is cheapest to fly to from Panama? generally speaking.

And if you know,which airlines.

Condor could be a good option; specially for a one-way flight. For return flights, it would be a good idea to take also a look at KLM to Amsterdam (the Netherlands) or to your desired airport in Europe. Iberia to Madrid (Spain) is usually more expensive than KLM but it wouldn't hurt to take also a look at their fares. KLM and Iberia have the advantage that they offer connections from their hubs to many other European airports so you wouldn't need to purchase two separate tickets if they fly to an airport close to your final destination in Europe. They also allow you to fly with more baggage (without paying extra fees) than the European low cost airlines like Ryanair.

Of course, at the end, you'll have to look what's the cheapest option (either a single ticket or a combination of two separate tickets) to reach your final destination in Europe on your travel dates (and it could be a different option than the options suggested so far) either if you need a one-way ticket or a return ticket.

Amazingly, flying American Airlines via the US can give fairly good prices from Europe - though it can vary with the dates.

I don't find it amazingly, flights from Europe to Central America changing planes in the USA are usually competitive in price and, on some routes and dates, the cheapest ones. But, once again, it all depends on your departure point in Europe and on your travel dates.

For us we'll be flying into Mexico and overlanding to Panama then making our way back to the UK.

Don't mind stopping anywhere in Europe enroute home but I would like to avoid stopping in the USA unless it was significantly cheaper.

Just been looking at the websites of TUI and Condor and it was coming up at 500 euro one way (that was to Frankfurt)

I paid one-way Cancun - Frankfurt about £350, leaving on the 15th September

For direct flights check KLM, Iberia and Condor.
For flights via U.S. airport check United or Delta.
For flights via South America check Avianca.
